18 Oct Training and professional advancement for housekeeping staff
As a benchmark firm in the hospitality sector, Resuinsa is committed to training and professionalisation, which was on display at a workshop for housekeeping staff from different hotels in Madrid. In this sense, Resuinsa seeks to pass on our over 40 years’ of knowledge and experience to a group of workers that holds a key position in how hotel establishments operate—everything guests enjoy during their stay at the hotel depends on these employees.
Moreover, the meeting allowed housekeepers to pass on their doubts, suggestions and recommendations for daily hotel room management and upkeep. They also got to hear key information related to their job performance.
Firstly, we offered a brief introduction to the company as a benchmark in product innovation, sustainability and quality. We then provided detailed explanations about textile fibres used for hospitality, explaining their properties and features. We centred our presentation on cotton, polyester, linen and bamboo, as housekeeping staff may well need this type of information in their daily work.
In turn, one of the hot topics was smart textiles, included under the Resuinsa 4.0. umbrella term. We talked about the products incorporating RFID technology by including a TAG to help manage traceability in inventory, location, shelf life, collection and distribution processes, as well as internal laundry. The technology has become a major ally for housekeepers as they are able to monitor the status of items at all times.
These types of workshops are a part of how Resuinsa helps support the hotel sector and each and every one of its professional workers. Training has become an essential layer for progress in the hospitality sector and for getting to know new products, especially in the technology field, all supported by the experience of a large company. In the end, all these elements affect guest well-being and satisfaction during their stay at a hotel.
