HIP 2019

Resuinsa to take part in HIP 2019 with a stand and two talks at the Hospitality 4.0 Congress

The 3rd edition of the Horeca Professional Expo (HIP) will be held in Madrid from 18th to 20th February, placing the spotlight on digitisation models that are refashioning the hospitality and catering sector. Along these lines, one of the standout innovative firms at the event will be the textile company Resuinsa, which will be at Stand 3D421 and give two talks at the Hospitality 4.0 Congress.

HIP 2019 plans to welcome over 20,000 hospitality sector entrepreneurs, managers and professionals at the event’s 30,000 m2 space at Ifema. These professionals will be accompanied by over 400 exhibiters set to demonstrate the latest trends for hotels and restaurants.

Resuinsa’s stand will be focused on the firm’s most innovative products and processes in the fields of technology and design. The multinational will be demonstrating its 1,000 thread count sheets, the Atelier service aimed at textile thematisation and the RFID technology used to control garment traceability, including a live demonstration.

Moreover, stand 3D421 will also be hosting the textile decoration firm Carmela Martí, which will be bringing its recycled textiles to HIP 2019—The Right Textile. These fabrics comprise two types of fibres, both 100% recycled and fully woven: cotton made from reused garments and polyester fibre from plastic bottles and packaging made from PET. In this sense, the stand will combine sustainability and digitisation, in line with the most in-demand trends in the sector.

Focus on the digital era

According to Manel Bueno, HIP director, digitisation ‘has always been one of the main focus points of the event as it is deemed a competitive factor for the sector’, although at this edition, he states, ‘we wanted to see solutions for all industry segments, ensuring professionals from all profiles and business are able to analyse and learn which digital tools they have available to them’.

Analysing and learning: these two activities will be fully covered in the many talks at the Hospitality 4.0 Congress, the largest international congress on innovation, technology and new business models for the sector. Over 350 experts spread over nine auditoria will be taking part and looking at the challenges faced by each professional profile.

Resuinsa’s two presentations

Félix Martí, Resuinsa CEO, is the expert chosen by the Hospitality 4.0 Congress to talk about the latest textile innovations in the sector. Martí will speak at two different events: the Perfect Restaurant Project and Hotel Trends.

At the first, he will present the talk ‘Tables… with or without tablecloths?’, which will look at how important textiles are for tables, moving beyond them being mere ornamental elements. The talk will be on Monday 18th at 2pm. In turn, he will also be giving a second presentation at HIP 2019 titled ‘Digital Transformation: the Hotel of the Future’. Here, he will talk about Resuinsa’s smart textiles that help manage garment use and traceability. The talk will be on Monday 18th at 5pm.

In short, HIP 2019 attendees will get to know first-hand the latest trends in digitisation that are expanding horizons in the sector and, thanks to talks for all profiles, uncover the tools enabling them to stand out in an ever more competitive market.
