28 Feb Lapis Blue: the colour of Seychelles
A moodboard includes images, texts, materials, textures and all that helps the designers get inspired. It is a creative technique used to exhibit ideas and projects in boards and Resuinsa uses it with its service ‘Atelier’.
Thanks to what moodboards display and define, a spectacular set of towels has been produced for one of the most important luxury hotels in the Seychelles islands. The leading player in the board is Lapis Blue, one of the colours of the moment, according to Pantone’s Fashion Report.
In this way, these towels follow the global trends, since their blue irradiated shade is among the top 10 fashionable colours for the spring/summer season this year. However, the Lapis Blue colour is also evocative of the elegance and the luxury of the lapis lazuli gemstone, which can be found in Seychelles.
These islands are surrounded by the Indian Ocean waters, which were represented from different perspectives on the moodboard for its intense deep blue tones. The inhabitants of this ocean, the turtles, are also part of the design of the towels. Thus, the vitality, the energy and the beauty of the Seychelles come together in this garment, which provides added value to the establishment itself.
The luxury hotel boasts a swimming pool with views to a sand beach with transparent water, in which the intensity of the blue tint of the sea is visible. When going out of the water, guests can wrap themselves in this big towel, soft and fluffy, with a colour that conveys the elegance and the relaxation of the atmosphere that surrounds it. The aim of Resuinsa was to reflect this sensation in this exclusive product for the guests of this 5-star resort.
