The Global Compact Arrives in Valencia to Boost Sustainable Business Action

At a time when sustainability can no longer be limited to generic commitments, dialogue spaces between companies are essential to share experiences, identify common challenges, and generate real synergies. With this premise, a day organized by the United Nations Global Compact was held in Valencia, where Resuinsa participated alongside other companies committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the event, several companies shared their progress and best practices in sustainability, ranging from decarbonization initiatives to circular economy projects. Among them, a project focused on transforming textile waste from the hotel sector into new resources, led by Resuinsa and developed together with CDTI, drew significant interest due to its innovative approach and potential application across different industries.

This meeting allowed participating companies to learn firsthand about the latest updates from the Global Compact, as well as to express their concerns regarding the implementation of the SDGs. What began as an institutional presentation evolved into a rich conversation among companies from various sectors, putting concrete projects and shared challenges on the table — moving away from the dreaded “greenwashing.” These forums not only strengthen the commitment to the SDGs but also reinforce the value of building corporate sustainability that is as rigorous as it is transformative.
